Day trip to Banff, Alberta

Tomorrow we will take a day trip to Banff, Alberta. This will be my first trip to Banff, so I am excited. I hear that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
While in Banff we will probably get a chance to stop by Sundance Mall and Cascade Plaza for a little shopping. I am not sure if we will splurge and hit the Banff Gondola, but we may. There is also the Columbia Icefield tours, near Banff but we will probably skip that since we are only taking a day trip. There is hot springs, horse back riding and parks to go to. We will hit a park and do some walking. Hit a restaurant and take some pictures while in Banff.

This time of year there is some nightlife in Banff, but we won’t stay too late since we need to get back for church in the morning. The world fmaous Lake Louise is about 45 minutes away, and this trip to Banff we will pass on this, but if Banff is beautiful I am told this is Heaven.

I will update you on my Banff day trip when I get back. Have you been to Banff? Let me know.

Hurricane makes landfall among Mexican resorts

Hurricane John roared ashore near Cabo del Este on the southeast coast of Baja California, Mexico, about 10 p.m. ET as a Category 2 hurricane. Luxury hotels used to entertaining Hollywood stars like Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are offering shelter to tourists who could not or chose not to evacuate.

Since this is a Category 2 the damage will not be that heavy. Don’t cancel your winter vacations or spring break Mexico trips. You will be fine to hit your Mexico resort.
