Last night I stopped in Missoula, Montana with the family on a vacation headed towards McCall Idaho. We stopped just in time for a pizza from Pipeline Pizza( OK pizza, great price) and a dip in the pool at the Double Tree.

At first site thd double tree is a nice looking but not spectacular hotel. The pool is nice, it was somewhat busy with some teens until it closed. The restaurant in the hotel I was told was one of the best in Missoula. We did not eat there. The double tree is located on the river, which is a beautiful river. In fact the town is blessed with 3 beautiful rivers called the Clark Fork River, the Bitterroot River and the Blackfoot River. There are some beautiful walking paths that are lit up for night walkers. Make sure and walk with someone for safety.

Missoula is surrounded by beautiful national forest and some great fly fishing. Missoula is a beautiful spot for a short vacation. It is definately relaxing has the conveniences of the larger cities.
