Preferably a week long stay in Hawaii (Big Island) ? Where do I look? Any good website? Any good tips/advices? Share your experience, I also want to know about activities/restaurants that aren’t too expensive.

A few tips here. For planning your trip, first use GotoBus.com (http://gotobus.com/hawaii/). They have a nice selection of sightseeing tours, perfect for vacation goers.
For restaurants, the best thing to do is sign up for Four Square (foursquare.com). If you have a smartphone, you can download Four Square for free. This app lets you search for nearby activities/restaurants and shows you recent reviews. This is perfect for a night out because you can have reviews of nearby places sent right to your phone.
